Nice machines, for some reason the Space Harrier looks familiar. Does it happen to have some wood damage to the back of one of the sides, along the edge like the top layer is missing?

Sure does mate, I bought it from you about 2/3 years ago!

That's one of the advantages about having to pack them in so tight though. You can't really see it in my gamesroom.

Haha, I couldn't remember who it was I'd sold it to. Glad it's still around :)

WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!

Tonight, thanks to a very kind forum member's considerable help I have finally achieved something that has taken 11 years of arcade collecting.

That's right, I now have every one of my machines fully working! The last time I could say this was in 2001 and I only actually owned two generic JAMMA cabs at that time.

Since then, countless machines have been and gone but I now have pretty much my definitive 10 fully working machines............mostly dedicated classics that use unique controls. Well I suppose that's technically 11 at this moment in time as there is one imminent new arrival. I'm expecting a visit from Martin next week with this one which is pretty much the ultimate JAMMA cabinet in my opinion.

Tomorrow the second and last of my Lordsvale cabs will be collected by it's new owner so I will be back to 10 again.

Just need to do some serious tidying up of all the spare parts/boards etc I have lying around now so that I can get at them all to play them.

I will be updating this thread again with some more pics in the near future once I've reorganised a bit.

Well it's been a while I suppose!

I finally gave up on the Asteroids a few months back now. Let's just say owning a vector cab was an expensive experiment. I should really have got some photos of that 'Takeman' panel on it though before I outed it as it certainly looked the part!

Since Asty went though, I've had a space to fill which I've been saving for something extra special. Today my 80's arcade was given back something it's been missing for far too long now. A PROPER FRUIT MACHINE.

After searching high and low for a classic JPM machine from the early 80's, I finally scored Lite A Nudge today after a 5 1/2 hour round trip to Liverpool.

It's exactly the same as the pair I played on most school lunchtimes back in 1984/1985 before getting back to school about 1/2 hour late with pockets literally overflowing with the old 10ps on many occasions.

This one has been converted to take 'new' 10p's though, so hopefully I won't be running low any time soon.

You have an amazing collection of cabs, I knew you did by what you said at Julians meet-up but seeing pics hammers it home even more, every single one of them is a AAA quality cab, no fillers

Seeing an APB again has put that one higher up my wish list, I tried to buy one last year from here, I think it was in Spain but the sellers courier could not make it as high up in the uk sadly.

Picked this Taito Space Chaser up a while ago now but have never got round to putting up any pics.

I know it's belonged to several different JAMMA+/UKVAC members at various stages in it's life before it reached it's final destination.

I bought it from Johnny Chaos who converted it to JAMMA and actually made it a working cab, rather than just a shell. I later added a fluorescent tube behind the marquee and made a few other cosmetic tweaks. I've also now sourced a repro lower coin door which I will be adding very soon as this had gone missing somewhere down the line.

Before Johnny Chaos had it, I know it belonged to Transformer. I believe he was responsible for getting all of the metal work stripped down and powder coated before eventually passing it on. Prior to this I think Arcadematt owned it for a while, and before him I know at least one other member here had it.

The control panel and bezel is all one piece of perspex with a bend incorporated into it. Keyamon redesigned the control panel artwork, so it's slightly different from the original and I then got a repro produced by a mate. The original one had been hacked up and also had a 2" crack at the bottom of the viewing area. I think it now looks better than ever.

I'm told the original game is total crap. To be honest, I've never even played it (that I can recall), but I love the look of the cab. It's now running an ArcadeSD multi game board which suits the cab perfectly I think.

I would have to say as a fellow collector, the appearance of the cabinet is half of the appeal and your Space Chaser cab looks really cool!

I'm sure I played it BITD and I'm sure it also bored me to tears games wise so there's no great loss! Loving the colours!

About time I updated this thread I think as I have just realised that some of my current cabs still aren't in it.

Well you could see this one sneaking into some of the earlier pics, but for some reason I never put these ones on here, they were only in my equivalent thread on JAMMA+. Anyway, this is my Zaccaria cab, converted to JAMMA that I picked up back in 2011 iirc:

And how could I not put up pics of my holy grail cab, Spy Hunter

. This is currently out on loan with James (RGP) though.

Here it is anyway, pictured back in 2012 when I had it working perfectly for a brief time!

EDIT: Lost that pic as it was one I had copied into UKVAC from JAMMA+ - so it died at that time. Here is a pic of the Spy Hunter upright just before I finally parted with it in late 2021. This was when it spent a short time on loan at The Arcade Hub before I decided what to do with it. (Ultimately sold it to Gavin). See further in the thread for the reason why!

Cheers bud, I do have another couple of cabs that aren't pictured (well one is, but not all that well) though I guess nobody's gonna get too excited about them.

One being the Goliath and the other being a 2nd classic 80's fruit machine.

I will be picking up another cab soon though, so fingers crossed I'll have it perfectly working fairly quickly so at that point I will photograph it and add it in here.

Thats an amazing line up of games.
I bet they sound amazing when they are all on and the attract music kicks in!

If that was my games room i'd turn them all on, stand in the middle of the room, do a 360, it would be like i'm back in the 80's hahaha

Don't know why, but I feel that the only thing that seem missing from your line up is an After burner :)
