Cheers boys

@ Ben - sorry but no chance Paperboy will be going anywhere if I can help it mate. Apart from Spy Hunter I think it's my favourite cab, though it hasn't had as much play just lately as it deserves. Will have to put that right soon.

@ Rich - a bit awkward to get some better ones at the moment bud, but I do have a load of pics somewhere that I took a long time back. Will try and dig them out.

Also, it's not quite as good as the pics look at a glance I'm afraid.

A few of the cabs in the pics have had to be moved on to new homes since the thread started as I simply haven't got room to keep all the machines I want.

These are the ones I currently have:

Outrun

Paperboy

EC Goliath

Space Harrier

Super Sprint

Zaccaria generic

Space Chaser running Arcade SD

Spy Hunter (on loan with RGP)

Centipede

Lite a Nudge fruit machine

Supaswop fruit machine

And these ones seen in the pics have now gone:

Marble Madness

Roadblasters

Asteroids

APB

Lordsvale MVS

Hehe, I thought you might say that :) It's a great cab, and I'm not surprised you want to hang onto it, but you know who to speak too if you do :)

Great line-up and awesome games room, Danny!

I've just invited myself round to have a go of your Asteroids.

You're always welcome round Jay, but if you check back through the thread you'll realise that you already have played the asteroids ;-)

Here's another cab I owned for a little while. Namco, Aim for Cash. Not really Point Blank though which is what I really wanted. Did eventually get one of them after a little while. Pics of that shown directly below the Aim for Cash. (I did have the topper as well, but unfortunately could never put it on the cab while I had it as it would have made it too tall to fit in my room!)

Dates are a little mixed up here too as had to edit in some of these photos and comments at a later date, but this was the 720 I picked up from Alpha1 in about 2016 I think. Nad did a great job of getting it running for me and did some stellar work on securing the cab again as it was a bit beaten up when I got it.

Also added this very nice Atari Time Pilot that I got from my good friend Chris AKA Niknak on UKVAC

Saw this thread for the first time yesterday and was soooo excited by Road Blasters in post #1

RB was the fourth or fifth game I ever played and is firmly on my wants list but I doubt I could afford one any time soon. In good fully working condition, what do they sell for these days?

They don't come up that often really. I would think in today's market you would probably be looking at between £400-£600 for a working one, depending upon condition.

Here's a little Alca Snapper cabinet I picked up. Hoping to do a restore on this or even just put in a 60 in 1 pcb and set it to Pacman only if I can't find one.

And for a few months, I also owned this 2p pusher. Was fun for a little while but still a little too big and ugly looking so it had to go!

Also, I added a 2nd and 3rd Goliath cab to my collection. One of them I converted to be a Track and Field with help from Olly (Muddymusic) who helped design the control panel using artwork from the US Centuri version of the cab.

Fab I could afford one if the family lives on beans on toast for a few months - small price to pay. TBH I don't know why I remember it so fondly I was always crap at it, then the Amstrad conversion really disappointed ten year old Smiffy. But if everything in the world made sense it would be very boring

I love this forum. I'm just getting into collecting - and part of the sheer pleasure is finding cabs I haven't seen in 20 or 30 years.
Super Sprint - I had a love/hate relationship with that game. Forgotten all about it!

Space Harrier - I never could play that game well, but oh it looked so cool (and still does)

OutRun - I could probably do quite well on that now! My Uni got one in the early 90s.

Paperboy - probably played it twice. Never did like it...

Centipede - I will, one day, have a lovely example of that classic. I can here the sounds, the burn of track ball...

Asteroids - another classic I'll have one day

Spy Hunter - another one it's lovely to see again.

RoadBlasters - I just watched a video on Youtube. Just like yesterday :)

Well done that man on a fantastic collection.

I've been meaning to update this post on here for some time. It's only now I have come back to it after almost 5 years I've realised that half of the old pics have gone.

This was because they were actually hosted on JAMMA+ and I had just copied them from there and pasted them in my thread here.

EDIT 8/3/23 - I have been back through the thread and added back some of the disappeared pics, or substitutions of other pics of the same cabs I managed to find.

Here's a nice Electrocoin Operation Wolf cabinet I picked up. This one was actually THE very one I remember booming out it's sounds whilst I played Bubble Bobble regularly right next to it in one of my local arcades as a kid. Never played all that much BITD, but when I found it for sale locally to me at a good price, I couldn't resist it!

Also.....a couple of pics of the lovely Toobin cabinet I got. This also came to me via my mate Chris (Niknak on UKVAC).

Below is a video I took this afternoon in my games room (9/2/20). I managed to get an extension done on the garage around 2 years back which has given me approx 70% extra space....it didn't take me long to become full up again though!

Still got an Asteroids Deluxe to go in at some point (actually lurking in that Op Wolf pic which was taken at a later date), that will be coming over from the USA fairly soon. I will then have to make a decision on what to get rid of as there's no space for anything more really. The Williams shell down the far end is not mine, I'm just looking after that temporarily for another member - so once that's gone I will be able to get at the Point Blank again, which does work.

Need to modify the topper for that still at some stage. At the moment I can't put it on the cab as it would make it too tall to fit! The ceiling is pretty low.
