Well we all know who's totally to blame for this don't we!!!

Of course there needs to be an understanding as to how this has happened, and changes implemented to mitigate the chance of it occurring again.

But any sensible messages in that video are lost behind racist overtones..dogs boiled alive, kittens fried.... get real....
well the Videos people were sending me must be all fake then! Had they not been so disgustingly vile I would post them here.

I'm attempting to teach from home, will get rota'd in to school to cover other key workers kids. Far from an ideal teaching environment.

So difficult not being able to answer questions for GCSE and a level students as we still have no idea how grades will be decided

It's supposed to be teacher judgement/assessment/coursework/prior attainment/mock grades/predicted grades. Ofqual will make the final judgement to ensure consistency.

Not ideal at all, especially as some students will surpass their predicted grade over the next 9 weeks of teaching time (along with half term workshops/study).

Any students who dispute their grade will have the opportunity to sit an exam in Sep. Hopefully the universities will take this into account when making offers etc.

We will have to see. I feel sad for the many students this situation will not benefit academically

There as literally been no details, that is just the pr sh*te that they have announced, doesn't mean anything

It is a mess.

At the moment, all the information that has been published can be found on

Still having to go work and brother same

Told were Essential workers, would sooner not but on my own and going to places with no one in them so as long as I clean hands after working and leaving I should be ok

Just finished my 3 days, bonus is the roads are far quieter and no issues parking anywhere so pretty good and wish It was like it all the time

Just shows how many go trolling around for nothing much all the time, what about the Climate emergency, thought that was important, this is sorting that out but should be restricting people's traveling anyway if they want to save planet but no one is going to care about that until something like this happens and even then they still can't stop

Work Colleague was having to go Manchester area all weekend cos guy there off with symptoms, but anyone can just say they have em now for a 2 week break, not saying he's making it up

So between us we have travelled about a quarter of the UK in 3 days and not hardly seen any police, seen one car stopped, loads of idiots out and about and I always wonder where the hell all these people are driving too all weekend normally, far less on motorways now but we get to find out what the morons are doing. we never got stopped once in 3 days and probably close to 2000 miles between us

That's classic with the Window man, wife in boot so why take her as well, guy went picking up Gym Equipment. another taking his motorhome to devon from Birmingham. Neil Kinnocks Son driving from Wales to London to say Happy Birthday

Yet when Piers asks 3 others on GMB today what they thought, not one of the spineless guests would comment on it, we don't know the circumstances so can't comment, he was taking his dad essential supplies yeah what ever, no excuse and tell that to the ones that have lost a parent and husband that's only 27 with 10 day old baby, posting yourself sat there on twitter saying you've drove 100's of miles for that is just stupid but when you have others arguing that it's not stupid, what's that say for the others

The guy picking up Gym Equipment should argue then It was essential as I can't carry on my fitness at the gym and need equipment at home.

So then you have another argument, you can't pick up Gym stuff yourself, but you can get another person or 2 involved in the way of a courier or man with van, to go and collect for you, so now instead of 2 people you now have 3 or 4 people involved because you can carry working if you can't work from home

to me it makes more sense to cut out middle man or no one should be travelling picking up ebay items etc themselves or couriers

What if you break down. Recovery guy has to pickup 1 person it's bad enough, if there are more people it's worse, how can they keep 2m away from people in a cab so no one should be going anywhere

Still seen quite a few cars broken down, typical Vauxhall on M40 Corsa 69 plate
smiley36.gif

I worked it out you see as many Vauxhall cars broken down as all other makes put together so I now call the Hard Shoulder Vauxhall Lane
smiley4.gif

ended all my ebay stuff, no point going out risking it to post ebay items

Getting angry at people isn't going to help. Need everyone on-side - team spirit and all that
smiley36.gif
.

The Daily Mail and Mirror ranting on about people buying tins of paint yesterday was particularly unnecessary - you put the country on indefinite lock-down, people might want to do something to keep their sanity. Definitely made a big difference around here, it's very quiet - hopefully that's enough to keep hospital admissions down.

I point blank refuse to get angry at anyone...even the knobs with trolleys full...there is literally no point...have seen women fighting over bread & bog rolls...the streets have a new item of wind swept refuse...must admit its a bit more scary seeing latex gloves instead of crisp packets etc.
smiley18.gif

I have weed, I have Coffee, I have put my phone on silent since yesterday and its not rang once...awesome
smiley36.gif

Bit sh*t as I cant get to my cabs, this would be ideal time but I cant get into my storage as noone there...even one would be good right now...

Anyone wanna lend me one ??

As of 01-04-2020 I've been officially furlough'd by work, didn't get any choice (although gov website said both parties had to agree) so on 80% of monthly salary for April at least and probably May.

Also means 80% pension contribution too.

At least I dont have to worry about driving to work for call-out or datacenter inspections.

I'm still on, and if manufacturing continues in any of the rebar factories I'm unlikely to be furloughed even though I'd quite like the break. Working rwmotely only, thankfully very unlikely to need to visit site regardless.

I'm working full time for the NHS at the Cancer Center, although if the spread gets any worse, we may end up partially working from home or on call I guess (you have to attend faults quickly so we have a small team so we can cover multiple issues).

Got email from our Company telling us from the 1st April due to reduced workload they are going to pay us 80% of our wages, nothing about reduced hours or anything else

That's fine but I'll be doing 20% less hours. Stupid thing is we don't really work for the main part of the Company, were sub contracted by one Company through another Company and are paid by the job, so the more work we do our side the more the Company earns out of us, so we could subsidise the others a bit if were still busy and work hasn't dropped off yet so not sure why they included us but it's choice

Bods, could you not ask your company to furlough you? That way you’ll get 80% of your wage and not work at all
smiley1.gif
. If your company’s workload has reduced then surely if would make sense for them to furlough 20% of the workforce and keep the other 80% employees on full wage.

It's getting very scary now with the death rates increasing. Such a sad time for many. At work we're all hoping to be furloughed so we can stay safe as possible indoors but it's not looking likely, even though we've got no work. I can do 90% of my work from home with a PC remotely connected. I just don't know why it's not already happened. Our office staff are now working from home so hopefully it'll be me next. I have heart issues so I'm very scared.

This weekend will be interesting, with all the idiots going out on their day trips on Sunday when the weather is supposed to be quite nice.

Queenie is giving a message Sunday evening at 8PM. Hope she and Philip are both fine.

Hope you are all fine also.

Yeh the queen she will help us
And Philip he is a barrel of laughs

Maybe Andrew will do something for the kids.
Charles and Camilla (what do they do again?
Wills he’s thinking about getting in his helicopter,,,
If he gets in his helicopter I will give him respect for that. Helping the ambulance
Service would be a good thing for him to do at this time.
Last of all Harry... has anyone seen Harry?

So yeh will be fine thenRetroman8392020-04-03 17:20:40

Just got update from Colleague as I can't get on Company Emails at moment.

I couldn't see how they could include are little section, he said were ok nothing has changed so we can carry on as we were same wages, for some reason our managers have been included in the 80% and as far as I know they are still working same hours, don't see how that is right. they must be paid by the main part of the Company

I'm happy I can still work, can't complain with how things are currently and the more jobs we do the more the company gets as its per job so really they need us doing as much as possible.

Tis getting bad now. Many of our office staff working from home also which does make you ask the question with all the technology these days why are so many people still all going to an office causing pollution and clogging up roads etc and still you have people all crowding on the subway trains which is shocking

Can't understand why they didn't close the schools straight away either, soon as we had cases in UK that should of happened, they are usually the carriers of Colds/Flu and pass it around and allowing people to come in from all the countries was mad, just because they had no symptoms didn't mean they hadn't got it and probably been spreading it everywhere. Gonna have to be careful over weekend really don't fancy getting it, never know your luck

My view from work today, not a bad one! Currently renewing a slate roof. All the materials are on the job and I'm four stories up in with nobody to disturb me

Steady away in this weather.
