They were and cost about £70 to the rental shops, the tape quality was much better on them but not so good when they've been hammered in some cheap players though, some of mine play awful and that great memory of the rental shop which was magical at the time but that magic soon diminishes once you see the quality of the picture specially on a LCD lolNice!
Not sure whom needs / wants to hear this ... but rental tapes are better than the ones sold in the shops.
Of course ... that depends on how many people rented the rental tape ... but ... yeah! 😅

Nice posterThose are great - they always used to switch up the artwork used between dedicated games didn't they? That Super artwork used for ST there. I got a Gamepro Magazine last month and it had a mini poster in for special champion edition on the Genesis (it's a US mag) but they used the dedicated art for SF2 Turbo on SFC
Yeh can’t believe the condition of emThose are some fab big box VHS rentals there, they look in great nick too.
It just gets better & betterGotta love that street fighter artwork![]()

I dont think Macrovision had anything to do with the quality of the tape, it was anti copy protection and was also used on DVDs and set top boxes to prevent copying and recording. Not the ones that had the macro vision. They were just good enough quality that if you copied they’d start flashing and the colours would pulse!
