What I don’t write in is
Between doing stuff jist yesterday I had to take my son to football
Take my son to birthday party .

Then take em to nannys house ..

Make chiken nuggets beans and chips ( got to shop)

Make rgb G S connector

Basically I aint got a fully functioning area for all tasks

My bench is across 2 or 3 areas … garage , spare room upstairs & conservatry ,,

Só I’m all over the place ..
The plan is to re make my
Garage asap bigger .. Só spare room goes back to being a normal house room instead of doctor frankenstiems lab.
Have a space with all my
Stuff in one location .

Then —
My
Missus roped me into helping school school PTA to go get all buisness to donate to school raffle also .. Só I loose track between tasks ..

That fix was 3 years in waiting só I wanted to get it !

I appreciate the help and I’m learning … I am forever greatfull for that above all els.
Thnx
Improving as I go I hope ;)

I have two weeks now of calm ish time between my next work project ,
I’m building a 3 car garage for Classic car restoration .

I have the next tv to chassis paring ready …
This time a hanterex polo to toshiba mini kneck 19 :)

It’s mad .. maybe 7 years ago
I saw the tv set in free ads and I got may attentions as it was a Samsung Plano 29 4:3
But not a uk released tv 100 Hz true flat …

Strange 15khz but flat screen
Só decided to go pick it up ..

No interest in using it as a tv
Only for one of my 2 Naomi flat bezel cabs ..

Then looked at chasiss to pair with it and was reading the pentranic is versatile .. cheap but versatile .. Só I just gave it a go and it was ok .. but yeh the problem with jumpimg
Then reared its head.. initially thought it was a bad pairing …
Turned out it was a known issue …
And arcades did complain as they received some shooting games that would jump with every shoot fired !

Só with a new found path to a work around for a fix I started to belive that this could be a usable pairing again ..

Thats when I thought
I need Grant to look at this it’s worth documenting if it works 😊

Same set was released as a dual branded tv in Europe too

As long as it works, that's the main thing! It's a bit strange that it seems to work fine with no geometry problems as I thought flat crts had yokes with a bit different readings to normal curved crts, to compensate for the flatness of the crt. I think some flat crts though are still slightly curved inside and flat outside if you see what I mean. I wish I could find a flat arcade crt or 100hz 29" flat tv (Toshiba if possible) for a chassis I have, a Toshiba multisync/vga chassis (can't remember which), I think it's a D29-something-or-other. I did have a Toshiba crt in original frame for it which for some reason had the yoke removed, but I accidentally necked it when it was in my storage (chipboard shelf i'd stood on the floor fell against it when I was sorting some things out in there). I've got a number of WG D9200/D9400 crts I could change the yoke on but I think the crts that Toshiba used (made by themselves presumably) probably give a somewhat sharper/better geometry picture than the WG ones.

Ouch !
Yeh d29 - Konami …

Or Wells thompson for d2900

The Toshiba Tri-Sync (often D29C051 or PD1843

I have a ys flat tube same model as sanwa pfx
IMG_7593.jpeg
Not tested it yet but will
Asap ..

I have the resistors to apparently correct the geometry on the 29e31s paired with these pfx yokes flat tubes . I’m planing o Mc doing soon also.

Dual /Samsung Plano & thompson…

It’s a shame I cannot open the scan lines up on this set up though as it just starts to fold over .. as it looks great but top just starts to fold..

Needs to have ground dag wire taken to frame and chasiss also aparamtly to calm the ground issue Thats plaguing in the picture at
Moment as tv sets have
“LIVE “frame “ apparently “

That’s what I’m trying to sort out at
Moment

Almost can tune the ground issue down to nothing

But would
Rather resolve it.

Tried dc ground direct from psu to dag wire ..

Swapped psu

Diffrent power leads

Added field ground to chasiss heat sink

But can’t rid it !

Could bad caps leaky caps
Be cause ?

I should cap kit this anyways I guess as i want to keep it ..

But I am running out of ideas to cure this IMG_7595.jpeg
With sub bright up shows it
Best ..

This is a
have you linked earth and common on power supply
have you checked 5v level
which pin is video ground going to the jamma connector
I have not linked earth and common .

Pin 14 vid ground not populated on my jamma harnes .. I did run a wire
From vid ground to field ground …
Here IMG_7587.png
Didnt help ..

But that says field ground
Só best image I can achieve is when I link that Gnd In schimatic to dc common Gnd .

I dug out two other jamma harnes and they don’t have vid ground wire .. pin 14 populated either
