Small update, this will be my last video game resto that i'll be sharing on here. No point sharing stuff you've all seen before although a Pinball resto could be on the cards at some point and I'm also restoring shed loads of other stuff at the mo.
Anyhow, all that's left is the coin door, awaiting a marquee tube...which I think just arrived as I was typing this
and the marquee needs cleaning. The cab is working 100%
While I was at it, my DK junior has had a lot of use since it's resto and the speaker panel has taken some knocks etc so it was time for some attention

Hi Rog thanks mate,
I think I'm pretty happy with the finish and methods. You will never get the perfect finish from a can, an oven would be my preferred choice so you'd get a hardened finish like a car but this is pretty good and not only that, restorations are expensive enough without going any further with them.
*edit - although my final DK resto keeper will have all metal parts chromed

These two dudes were hanging out inside the cab when it arrived, so I stuck them onto the top of the coin box housing. Alex if you don't want them on there you better get your chisel out, I personal think it's a nice touch, they've been in there a few years.
The coin door is now sorted and all 'to do list stuff' finished. Popeye is now patiently waiting collection!
