Not a bad looking cab, artwork faded on left, rest ok just rusty exterior metalwork, no problem

Currently in bits, had a massive clean last night (2am sleep, 6am get up

) but it needed it. Have pics on the camera, will upload later

Not a bootleg... rarer colour upright of Space Invaders Part 2. She's a beauty! Better condition than mine, but does it have the same fag burns over the P1/P2 buttons?

So are you going to replace all those dodgy old electronics with a PC and LCD monitor? Maybe put 6 buttons per player and trackball in it too. Would make an awesome MAME cab.

Maybe replace the marquee with some generic MAME artwork and put some stickers all over the sides too.

Rusty coin door & cash box door, will need a good blasting but I have no sand

Think the one on the left looks a bit better

Rails off and primed

Nicely gloss blacked, did a couple from the SW too, one needs doing again

haha - what's the bet you are the first person that gets one of the games restored and working hehe.

there's a great thread on RGVAC.com about how to fix ciggy burned and warped plastics. Basically you put them in an oven on a certain setting - allowing the plastic to slowly melt back into shape. You then novus the black burns out and then buff it up.

Dunno if there's an oven big enough for that all in one bezel and CP though, but I bet it could be sorted!!

Love the color scheme on the Pt: II cabs!

I have a Donkey Kong CP that had couple of burns on it, I wet sanded to get the majority out (don't recall the grit I started at, probably 300 as not to gouge the plastic) and worked my way up to the thousands and followed up with Novus polishes. I did this also with a scratched Space Invaders bezel.

The main trick is to do it with a block so that you don't get any low spots.

That spot above the Taito logo is a reflection of something or other.

Is the instruction card on the bezel on the right in Japanese by any chance?
