Set your sticks to 4-way and your brains to ‘concentrate' in Check Man; a gripping single screen puzzler from classic game developer Zilec-Zenitone (who?). Run away from big-ass boots, defuse some bombs made of dinner plates, and avoid some other things that may or may not happen in our latest podcast.

Please could you give a shout out to my 9 year old daughter Ellie? She kicks much ass on Street Fighter 3. She loves your biscuit review, in fact she asked me to rewind the podcast once because she missed it. Her favourite is custard creams - she wants to know what's your favourites? Also Vic can never leave. Here's to 200 more!

We'll be sure to give Ellie a shout out on the next show.
My favourite biscuit is also custard creams!
Vic's favourite I think is chocolate Hobnobs, but he may correct me on that.
Vic can't leave because I've just bought him a new Ten Pence t-shirt, which has at least 2 year's wear in it.

Hi guys, I still regularly listen to and enjoy your pod. Thank you very much for keeping it going. I was wondering if you are now one of the longest running arcade podcasts? (especially in the UK)

I also wanted to request these games in the future

Rush 'n' Crash/ Speed Rumbler (capcom 1986)
Scorpion (1982 Zaccaria)
Cosmic Avenger (1981 Universal)
Prehistoric Isle in 1930 (SNK, actually made in 1989 not 1930)

I bought this game recently for the BBC Micro. Do you think the guy on the front looks like Shaun? In the game he is called Walter Cobra.

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER! (or is it?)
Here's the latest slice of mumbo-jumbo from Planet Ten Pence.
So, Lock 'n' Chase - Pac-Man cash-in or Pac-Man with an original twist?
You are Lupin, a stealing cash thief man raiding the coffers of them nasty corporate billionaires.
So YOU GO GIRL: load up your bizarre looking clown car with money bags and get the hell out Maze Town.
Available in all digital formats but no real life ones.

Sorry to hear the big man is leaving the podcast. Normally I would try to get him to stay but after 10 years he has done his time! Can we have Alex back? He would have a lot to talk about with his Arcade Museum work. Failing that, how about a female gamer with a sexy voice?

A big thank you to Victor for all his hard work and joysticks and for creating the podcast in the first place. I wanted to ask what are his favourite 3 episodes of the pod?

BTW Paul Nurminen has just left the Intellivisionaries podcast too

When you get the notification for the new episode, then notice the person sat next to you on the train looking weird reading your phone...

"TRAINS! Pervy Trevor Who wants to collect bananas?"

... Let's hope he wasn't called Trevor 😳

TEN PENCE IS TEN YEARS OLD!
We've got all nostalgic and been reminiscing on this show, which means the return of the classic 'Arcade Hand' sketch and the Ten Pence Orchestra 'singing' 'I'm An Astro Blaster, Twisted Astro Blaster' using Fire Starter by the Prodigy as a erm, starter.
And Thanks to Retro Russ for providing the Burger Time / Biscuit Time logo mash-up.

10 years!! Phenomenal achievement gents. Been tuning in almost from the very start. Where does the time go. Thank you both, @shaunholley and @virtvic, as well as @Nintendo Arcade for al the time and effort needed for this level of commitment. There has been some truly great episodes and many a laugh. There are countless games I would never have touched, had it not been for this podcast, and some would argue, many of those should never have been touched.....

Love you guys! 💋

Wow 10 years! Listener number 4 checking in, I've been absent for quite some time, I shall get re-listening and catching up this week, exciting stuff to hear the Ten Pence Orchestra may have returned for the occasion. :) Congratulations on the anniversary.

Congratulations on 10 years at the top, Shaun and Vic!
Where on earth will we go for our arcade-related inanity when you're gone?
PS: Burger Time is ace. But maybe stop twiddling your knob if it's making your turkey raw.

That's great you finally did Waku Waku 7! I have been listening to a lot of earlier podcasts and Victor keeps mentioning it and saying you will do it soon - but then it never got picked. I enjoy that game a lot but the scoring system seems too dependent on certain ways of playing. Vey good game though + very varied characters!

Btw why did Victor get rid of his Death Race arcade cab? I have never heard the actual episode where he decides to sell it. I have always wondered that because it was his grail cab in the early pods.

Thanks for the pod guys
