A deserted, forgotten ship ...reminds me of the horror movie Triangle (if you've seen it!)

Glad more classic cabs got saved! Well done all round! ...and having to rent a crane? The mind boggles....

I've just re-read this thread from the beginning... Certainly puts a smile on ya face seeing all those cabs saved!

Just in the nick of time by the sounds of it.

Totally amazing! Great back story to the whole raid. Love it!!!

Smart.

Well I have an announcement to make.

I have finally managed to find a replacement back glass for the Dolly Parton pinball.

You have no idea how many times I have been promised/traded/bought a glass for this stupid freaking pinball glass. Now I get to give it away to the person I bought it for!

Yep, one of the greatest threads in the history of video arcade gaming/collecting.

This raid has just amazed me, amazed me in the fact the cabs were stood there all that time & amazed me that you guys spent so long chasing after them & to top it all off actually managed to grab them as well, incredible stuff, I've shown a few people not into gaming the pics & told them the story & they are equally impressed, I must have read all the pages & looked at the pics 10 times over the past week.

Its certainly made me wonder exactly whats still out there.

I know its been said hundreds of times but well done, amazing job

The ship was just on the programme 'Coast' on the channel Yesterday. They took a quick tour and spoke to the guy. Didn't spot any cabs but interesting to see.

It'll be repeated on the +1 channel later, probably about 9:50pm as it was on at the end of the 8pm showing.

FUTURE PLANS...The plan is to transform the ship into the largest open air art gallery in the UK. As of August 2012, the Latvian graffiti artist "Kiwie" was commissioned to spraypaint a design on the ship.[sup][4][/sup] The ship is slowly being covered with graffiti described as "bright and surreal".[sup][5][/sup] The first phase of the project saw Kiwie and other European graffiti artists paint murals on the ship between August and November 2012, and the second phase (starting at the end of March 2013) included the work of British-based artists such as Snub23, Spacehop, Dan Kitchener and Dale Grimshaw.[sup][6][/sup] One of the artworks is a picture of the ship's first captain, John 'Jack' Irwin.
