Myself and 10 Shearers will hopefully be there for this. I'm terrible at DK so won't be entering the comp but it sounds like a great event and I would love to come along and show my support/ chat to a few members and competitors.

Do you think there's any chance Arcade Club would do some sort of weekend ticket? Might think about doing the Saturday and Sunday as well. Any other folks planning to do this?

As some of you might have seen I made lots of pixel art pictures during lockdown. Link here for all the pics of ones I’ve done.

I've been making pixel art pictures for Kewydee, a big Mr Do fan and. just wondering if there's any interest in similar Donkey Kong pictures with the big Kong Off happening?

The Donkey Kong one would be much bigger than the other ones I’ve done before because there's that many more pixels and therefore sadly more expensive.

They would be £30 each plus postage and would measure around 40 cm square.

Here is the picture of Donkey Kong I have in mind but open to suggestions as long as can fit in the max base plate size and here are some examples I've done in the past.

Where are people staying for the weekend?
I have heard alot of different acomodstions mentioned.

I have now booked flights to Manchester and a bed at Premier Inn in Bury. Thurs 30/4 - Mon 4/1
Looking forward to a great weekend!
And a new PB last week make me hopefully to not place last in the tourney!

With the upcoming Kong off, I made these pixel art pictures for someone.

The Donkey Kong one measures 34cm x 29cm, whilst the Mario one measures 16cm x 15cm.

I can make more of these if anyone is interested either of these or other Donkey Kong characters or other arcade characters, but will take a couple of weeks to turn around as I need to order parts in.

Because it's so big and takes a long time to make, the Donkey Kong one is £40 whilst Mario £15, both plus postage.

Cheers

Think this is likely my first event of the year, on my birthday too so zero chance of me not getting there for one reason or another 😂

Won't be entering (I'm naff at DK... and others!) but it'll be good to catch up with you all again. There anywhere near by the wife could retreat to with the nipper? Still not gotten over her crashing the last meet 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'll be there Sat and Sun. Still need to book accommodation. Might stay at Village, was quite nice last time. Although the Premier inn is slightly cheaper.

Get yourself ready for Allen Kong on Saturday Night!
Can you get Allen to the Killscreen?
Or will you get farted to death in mid-air?

There's going to be special prizes for Killscreens.
It'll be lots of fun, and LOTS of swearing, in a true Aussie style.

Let's go Dickhead! Brian Allen! Fuckstick!

The video above is from 3 years ago.
A lot of improvements have been made to Allen Kong since then.
More singing, more swearing, more Allen!
Graphics improvements so he now looks like his icon on Donkey Kong Forum.
Screen shaking farts that will ruin your timing in hilarious ways.

I found myself in Arcade Club Bury for the first time ever today!

The place is amazing! Possibly a bit mean to make the old-timers climb four floors to find their childhood games, but awesome nonetheless :D

And the first day of the Easter Weekend meant it was rammed, which I should have anticipated but didn't.

12 out of 10 - would drive 5 hours for again!
