To be honest they could stick me on a poster as the Perfect Citizen for their Climate Agenda, apart from not believing the bullshit anymore

In the week I hardly leave my house, fed up of driving all weekend in Company van (we end up driving a few hundred miles a day through complete incompetence of others working there, doesn't seem to matter to the company though even though they will promote saving the planet and the places we go that push it all don't care about there own carbon footprint either, all a crock of shite anyway
I've been on a plane once to Zante for 2 weeks, it was just under 40c in early 2000s
Been on one Ferry to Amsterdam
I don't have my Heating on hardly as I don't like giving 1000's to Gas supplier, only thing on gas is Boiler
If I go somewhere to pick up things I try and do 2 or 3 pickups in the same day
I walk to local shops and post office, even with heavy boxes
Got Solar Dehumidifier to keep arcade building dry instead of having electric one plugged in for months
My old cars are irrelevant what ever the emissions are as I hardly use them and when you change engine to lower emission one they don't care because it's not about Clean Air it's about getting older cars off the road that people can afford and are paid for
Nearly everything I buy is second hand unless I have to buy it new

Amazes me that most believing all this Climate nonsense will be the ones driving round in Range Rovers and the like, going on holidays twice a year, buying new clothes monthly etc etc and when they realise that Climate Agenda is reducing all of travel so no holidays abroad, work from home, walk to shops, stay local in the 15 minute city and lockdown when the next Virus comes as planned they'll be saying why didn't someone tell us about this

I work from home, haven't been on a plane since '98, never had a driving lesson, only leave the house to buy XBox gift cards through gritted teeth because somebody else's horrible child has a birthday party and has made friends with mine. 😆 Probably all goes out the window when you add up all my unnecessary online purchases that need delivering. And when did parcel delivery become some person just throwing it at your house!? You can add falling asleep with all the lights and telly on to that too 🤣

Guy I work with I've been saying same to him but he won't listen, he went to see the Iceland Northern Lights, never even got to see them lol, when he came back he said they were on a tour with guide, he said and before anyone says about the ice melting it's a load of shite, don't listen to it, they aren't melting anymore than over the last 1000's or years

It isn’t just what the man on telly says, people devote years and years to work on this - students, researchers, academics. They’re surely not all part of some conspiracy by the man, which only a select few, including Trump and the oilfield belts of America can see through.

Well, climate change arguments aside, I still maintain in the 15 years I've lived here, nothing bad happened weather-wise until 2021, since then we've had 4 major storms that've torn off many roofs and caused huge amounts of damage (I'd forgotten, even the cricket clubhouse I see directly out my front window was recently destroyed).
I'd be perfectly happy for it to be a 'glitch' as I hate staring at forecasts, hoping the gust speeds won't keep creeping up ☹️. It's when they get to near 70mph that you know serious damage is on the way.

To be honest i've never been so stress free because I've seen through it all now and going down different paths and who was it that said about talking to the Jehovah's witnesses, I know I make a joke about it, well wasn't my joke I heard Jethro tell it, anyway I was listening to something a week or so after and the mentioned the Jehovah's believe were living in hell now, well darn me 2 weeks later I had 2 older ladies at my door from the Jehovah's Witnesses so I had a bit of a chat, I asked them about being in hell and they said well kind of and asked me who I think really controls the world? Well they said it's SATAN and to be honest I have to agree with them after last 4 years

So no amount of me saying stuff is going to make a difference clearly so I shall keep out of any topics in future about climate etc and stick to arcade stuff

It's like the lessons I learned when training as Electronics Engineer, the more you learn the complicated you seem to make it when looking at faults, the so called fully qualified Technicians in the workshop that made huge mistakes was hilarious, whole morning with VCR in bits changing main micro when it was tape end bulb gone, another spent a day on portable TV that wouldn't come out of standby and concluded the main processor, I knew it wouldn't fix it and proved it when parts guy gave me the job to replace it, of course it made no difference and after I changed the faulty on/off switch that had momentary connection to bring it out of standby hey presto it worked fine, could list a dozen of examples and it's same and yes there were 2 guys there that were brilliant, absolutely knew what they were doing, same with many highly qualified people in all these fields, not saying people aren't clever because some are but many get in to deep and forget to look at the basics quite often, and if your trained as a meteorologist at the same institutes as all the rest, all the information comes from the same source bang you have a whole army of qualified repeaters of the same narrative, they think there something special because they get paid well but there just repeaters all banging out the same stuff from the MET office ran by the Ministry of defence, that silly girl on GMB doing weather repeating tells you she got the briefing from the MET office for that day, it all comes from one source. same with Medical training if all trained from one main source and anyone that thinks outside the box is cancelled you can control the narrative easy, Anyway enough from me on all this, I leave the topics alone

Paul Burgess is an odd guy that's full of cobblers, loads of mistakes in what he says and calculates out, a few "witty" comments but then somehow gets all the key figures (which are well known and in front of us all to just go and look at) there or thereabouts right, and then says that they're REALLY BAD and we need to get all outraged about them.

So all he really does is say the stuff that's already well known and/or can be easily researched in a ranty manner.

There's one on a proposed solar farm where he says KW means nothing (not in the context of electricity generation it doesn't) that the Capacity Factor figures given are wrong and are 8.5% (that is well known, a key thing for any solar project, and actually the figure is about 10-11%) makes an utter horlicks of explaining Capacity Factor (something about "in the UK we have a night" which is just not at all what's being claimed) and the output of the farm MUST BE much less than claimed - then does the maths in reverse and pretty much comes out with the same figures as claimed. And then doubles, triples, quadruples down in the comments with the same roughly-correct figures.

No the actual evidence. Go and look it up.

But here is a prime example on how YOU are being misled:
'Co2 Pumped into greenhouses to make plants grow bigger but Co2 is bad. What kind of science is that if planet greener with more Co2?'

So are you saying Co2 isn't rising or are you now saying more Co2 isn't bad?

The reason you are being misled is because while true more Co2 can benefit some types of plants (look up C3 and C4 plants) what you are not being told is that with rising global temperature the other things plants need (water and good soil) will not be present so plants will suffer even if there is a rise in Co2.

The deniers will present things in a way that looks plausible but what you have to ask is this:
If you come across a 'fact' that shows the science to be wrong either
1)You have found something all the scientists have missed,
2)The scientists are lying to you or
3)You are missing/misunderstanding the information.

Everytime I have seen something that sound good that goes against the scientific consensus it's always been (3).

Go watch some potholer54 and educate yourself.

When I was young the wind was so bad it blew an old lady over who lived by my Mom in Bham, she wasn't hurt but I'm pretty sure it shook her up a bit. Recently I haven't seen any people being blown over by the wind in Bham, so it seems a bit better to me.

I also remember it being very hot the one year when I was a kid, a lot of people got sunburn, including me. I haven't had sunburn since then, so by using my own scientific data things seem better. Not sure how the Ozone layer is these days, I remember being told all the aerosol cans made a massive hole in it and was going to kill us all with radiation.

I visited India about 14 years ago, I burned my feet walking barefoot on the hot concrete. The same year I also visited Dubai, I got sunburn like I did when I was a child, everything seemed about the same as that one year in the UK!

I could research how the Sun's solar flares profoundly affect weather, the relation of Co2 emissions to plants, how taking metals and minerals out of the earth affects the earths natural balance more than any amount of farting cows, what exactly is created and exhausted into space every time there's lightning and then there's the sinister art of weather modification but lets not talk about that as apparently it's a conspiracy......but if I took the time to reasearch the previous topics I fear I'd go down another rabbit hole so deep that I'd be in my 70's when I reemerged.

So my research during my spell on this interesting planet has led me to believe that the doom and gloom taxation merchants pull random crap out of thin air whilst telling us that paying more taxes for our production of said gasses will help the planet. So if you have the money you can do whatever you like.

Rather than worry my self into dis-ease regarding the new meta, I take it upon myself to sincerely thank God for what I have and try not to use more than I need. It's a simple concept that does me well. If the people making these laws practiced what they preached then a lot of people wouldn't think they are hypocrites and are trying to keep the majority of the population in poverty.

What a lot of people don't understand about global warming is that it doesn't mean hotter temps everywhere or there will no longer be cold weather.
The increase in temp is measured on a global scale and in some countries (including this one) those rises in temperatures can cause colder weather due to it affecting the gulf stream.

The data shows that over the last two hundred years or so the global temp has risen at an unprecedented rate.
Before such big changes took place over hundreds of thousands if not millions of years but now it's happening in less than 300 years.

I have no solution or answers but facts are facts and when people ignore them or dismiss them is what annoys me.
