I have been getting to grips with Xevious this last day or so. Hated it as a kid (always looked a bit bland next to other games I could put 10p in) but I am really enjoying it now.
This week I've mainly been playing GORF! It's taken many years to get it back from storage, find the PCB's and power supply but she's all back together but what a great game. One of the best examples of how MAME just doesn't do a real game hardware justice. Loooong live GORWF!
So this week I've been playing Metal Slug 4. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
The artwork is stunning and the variety of how they've broken the levels up is pretty creative.
I'll be playing this, Spin Master and Pulstar over the week and tonight. Now I've managed to hook it up to my live broadcasting stream I'll be going through them live. So stop by and say hi if you get a chance
I've been playing muscle bomber on the snes which I just finished
And the arcade version which is Saturday night slam masters.
Such a cool game.
The characters make me laugh the controls very responsive and over game play a joy to play.
Love this game
I played Gauntlet at Smokey Joes Cafe in Cheltenham this weekend. It was on free play. They also have DK Jnr, Invaders Revenge and Addams Family but they were not free play.
Not strictly coin-op, but I was dragged (no kicking or screaming) into the wonderous world of Minecraft by my 7yo daughter at the weekend and have not come up for air since....
I fear there is no hope, please send sustainance!!
What you guys been playing this week?
I've been giving it with a bit of Moon Patrol!
-Up to 60k so far..so long way of any record, but still nice to beat your own personal scores.
I'm currently playing the excellent cute'm-up Chuka Taisen. A bit of a memorizer this, and I am nowhere near completing it, but I hope to get there eventually. I got the board as a moving-in present from one of my friends, which was nice.
