This week i've been playing Cowboys of Moo Mesa. Really overlooked Konami game. Pretty easy on the defaults so the difficulty needs to go up

My local arcade (St Annes pier) had that back in the day and I played it there quite alot.

Funny enough a friend that I used to hang out at the arcade with many years ago has just started working at the same place as me and we were recently talking about that arcade.

Good times!

Cool. Never seen it in an arcade and only really found out about it a few years ago (the power of MAME

). Picked up the PCB recently and it's been in the cabinet since

.

Anybody watch the cartoon series when it was on?

Lately I've mainly been playing Centipede/Millipede. Finally got my old clunker Centi cabaret out of storage and fitted the Multipede I've had for about 5 years. Both cracking games and (to me anyway) hard as nails.

Dan, what kind of scores do you get on Centi? I usually get around 50K but never much higher.

Nowhere near that high at the moment, I think my highest is in the 40k's but that's about 10 years ago. I need to practice! I think I could do with lubing my trackball as well. I'll post my high score in the next few days, let's get a compo going :)

Game of the week = Mr. Do's Castle
:)

BTW, Dan, I've got a millipede kit on my Centi board so can play both.
With hi-score saving, naturally. :)
-Love Millipede and Centipede - tough, but great games!

Cheers,

^ Both excellent games Dave /Dan and I do miss Centipede.

The track ball is what makes them, awesome!

EXERION

a terribly underated game, thats why I build a, what I call, "semi-dedicated"-cabinet out of a generic cab.

Love that game, nice 3d planet effect

Thats why I make a "Parallax-Marquee"
The generic cab I use for it got 2 plexi-plates behind one another, so its easy.

I will open a thread soon....

I've been hammering Contra on the PlayChoice 10 for two weeks. Want to be able to complete it in one life.
So far I can just about get to the top of the 3rd level without loss of life.

Tough game but enjoying attempting to mastering it.

This is one tricky game and gets crazy quick very soon into the game.
:)

awesome choice dave, it's part of my competition with the students this year, 650 000 was the best score a student achieved.

Bump and Jump I've been playing for two weeks since I brought it on the Nes
I used to play this in my local arcade and it's so much fun
This is now a dedicated game I would like to own.

As its the next game of the week on the 10pence podcast, I have been playing SonSon. Already beaten my mame world record, and am now scoring just less than a million.
