Battletoads! proper fun, violent game with the blood dip switch ON! Can't believe I missed this BITD. Namby pamby Ninja Turtles pffft!

I imagine multiplayer is more fun

" Armed Police Batrider" - an amazing 1998 vertical shoot 'em up by Raizing. It's a brilliant game.?

I did play it in Arcade Club (Bury) a few years ago too !

One to certainly play ! :)

Armed police batrider is probably my favourite shooter
I quite like kingdom grand Prix and sorcer striker too
Nice to see some of the bosses and characters again

Darius Burst Chronicles EX+ - I know it is on the Switch but its a conversion of the arcade so I guess it still counts!

Played this on the big machine at arcade club. Sub bass and everything, bonkers. Meaning to try on ps4

Helping to make way for new Delta City. Robocop is up there for me as representing the whole arcade scene. Fun, not deep, really impressive at the time. Especially the green "targeting" bonus levels, blew me away. Also very good versions of the films theme music through levels. Data east made a lot of fun games, and they should have gotten the James Bond licence for sly spy too. Oh well.

What I learned today is that you can shoot the grenades, only took decades.

Was there an electrocoin marquee for this?

Turned one of my cabs on for the first time in ages. Played a few credits of DoDonPachi Dai Ou Jou. That game will pretty much always be my game of the week.

My son asked me to put Kung Fu Master in the JAMMA cab about a month ago. It's still in there. Still can't beat Mr X the second time round...

Kung Fu master is really playable, something very satisfying about the punch and kick sounds. Pity I didn't get anywhere tracking down the sequel from that french fella.

This week I'll be mostly playing gunsmoke by Capcom. First off, it's not jamma, even though the connector looks like jamma. Had to think about that!

Second, the game is orientated the "wrong" way compared to most vertical games, in other words it appears upside down. No dipswitch to correct it either. HOWEVER! If you put it into cocktail mode, start a two player game, and then let player one die, then you can continue as player two the right way up. That's the best you can do without messing with the monitor.

I also noticed that the pcb has the much coveted gold "Capcom" label, which makes it many times the value of an ordinary greenie :p

Great game, hard as nails, lot of fun :)

I have a love/hate relationship with this game. It's one of those games that can be very unfair at times and is a game that really benefits from autofire.

The Ai maneuvers around your shots + movements, they also come out of the sides of the screen right by you and the hitbox on the dynamite is a bit small when picking them up.

When I got mine I couldn't play it due to the awkward rotation, so it was another one to put into the pile alongside Shoot Out, Pengo and others depending on what cab I'm using.

It's still a good game though and is definitely a keeper especially since it's by the same guy who made the stone cold classics Gyruss and Time Pilot.

Beating the 4th boss is tricky for sure, his Dynamite shots are too flippin' quick!
