Apparently they all suffer from wobble too. Some kind of design defect. Christ its makingme worried about my XO now.

No, it's not a defect, it's because there's no rubber foot on that side, the weight of the machine is on the other side. There are two on the right edge and one offset to the left of the middle.

Reality - nobody posts on a forum when their machine works.

This, goes the same for car insurance etc, you only hear the complaints.

I wouldn't worry - yield issues affect the number produced rather than the quality of the ones which are, surely? I can't believe they'd risk RROD Mk. 2.

The big problem is both machines are rushed, the Xbone seemingly more so - and the software is all in a similar situation too. Two games shipped at the wrong resolution for example and need day 1 patches...

It really is a bad sign when they can't even ship a last gen game at a decent resolution, if you have the money get a PC, it's trouncing the 'nextgen'.

I wonder if Sony ever learnt from the lead free solder problems in the ps3's? somehow I doubt it and these are just the same, only the cpu's and graphic chips will no doubt get even hotter due to more cores in them!!

Sony has never learnt in the past when there are problems, they just keep churning out the same model after model and the problems continue on and on! look at Sony on/off switches in there tv's! did they ever improve then through the years of all the manufacturing.... nope!!

I don't think anyone has had near as bad a launch of defective hardware as the MS 360, and I expect next to no one still has a working launch window model.

Still have one here, its a launch day one and still going strong

That's a rarity! I went through 6 of the bloody things, one of the corpses was the slim too.

my slim has been awesome, and my launch ps3 is working fine. Went through two fat 360's though. One was the launch one which was fixed foc. My other faulty one I still have, jus decided to get a slim.

Will get a PS4 next year for sure, but think I'll prefer the XO UI and experience.

My launch 360 only lasted about 2 levels on COD3 before red ring so if these new machines are going to be flaky I might have to give them a miss for a year or so.

I gotta email saying they tried to deliver it to my mate in Cali but nobody was home so its at the depo. I told him to get his arse in gear, pick it up & send that bad boy over to me.

I am not sure about the power on situation. Should I just go with a stepdown, or like my Jap PS3 can I plug it straight into a UK mains. I wonder does it have the converter thing on the mains plug?
