whats the pc spec?
what cpu and gpu are in it?
for calculating wattage.
I haven’t got a new one yet. Just looking and trying to work out what’s needed and best, if you’re referring to the old one I’ve no idea. I don’t have it at my house where I have the machine because I took it to someone who I thought could help haha, we than used another one after it was blown up and that seemed to work fine when back in except for the fire button not starting a game. (You can only load it up when it’s back in machine it seems so only than can you check) but it did boot up and I could enter menus etc just wouldn’t than actually start game when pressing start. (Button was ok to calibrate and responds in test menu so not the joystick) So took it back out again and have been waiting on it and decided to now try and sort it myself. So the machine is here but the pc isn’t. But it’s not going to run all the later games like Star Wars battlepod which now I’m aware is an option seems daft not to do which is why I’m now looking at gaming pcs with ability to play other stuff. Dont know if I’ve properly explained as I’m now rambling. I just get fed up when I’ve got large machines sitting gathering dust I’d rather be playing them and if blazing can play 2 specific other games I had considered dedicated machine buying in past this would certainly be a great move. But I need to make sure what I run isn’t going to struggle and stutter. (Rambled again) sorry

I’m just not great with computers. I can rebuild a pinball machine (haha but when it comes to the downloading files to put on pin2dmd I’m all over the place) I get there in the end but my god I make it hard for myself first lol.

most pc "experts" just know how to re-install windows,
pc based arcade games are pretty hardware specific, if you substitute stuff you either run into driver issues or the protection kicks in and F's you up.

there is a pc "repair" place near me, the amount of "unrepairable" stuff i have taken from them and fixed really fast is a joke,
if they dont see bulging caps and a fresh harddrive and windoze install dont fix it then it's "unrepairable"
atleast to them!

i just went past it last week and walked out with a huge Nvidia GTX TITAN with 6gigs of ram on it - othe than dust in it i cant find a single problem!!!
-- mine now! :D

I'm quite busy with stuff this week but like to help, I'm not that up to speed with later PC's myself to be honest, only know abit on this after using old PC I found dumped to get my nephew playing Wacky Races but I knew he'd want to play Mario Kart too so PC was pretty spot on with everything I tried, Mario Kart good with the GT1030 card but limited to cards with Small Form Factor case

That tells you minimum specs, so you definitely want GTX1650 or as good, Nvidia ideal as most had those anyway, I'd get something with faster CPU also than one I did, that was I5 650 3.2ghz so anything above that with decent GFX should be sweet

I'm sure more here could advise on PC's, maybe someone here has one for sale?

stuff like PI based ones I know nothing about, I'll buy something all setup, just having the time to learn new things so I understand you trying to get PC that's all ready to go

here is the best pc advice i can give.

1 - always update the bios to the newest before doing any cpu swap.
SPECIALLY ON AMD RIZEN.

2 - always flash bioses with DOS - windowz is the main cause of bricked motherboards.

3 - if building from scratch AMD is better than Intel,
AMD has larger cache options and all cores are complete, Intel are scammers and only 1/3rd of cores are complete, the others are "efficiency cores"
or in english - reduced capability!!!

a random example to backup the claim.
Total Cores 20
# of Performance-cores8
# of Efficient-cores12

I appreciate any help anyone offers and I’ll take it all onboard but a lot of above really is like talking to me in Swahili and I can’t speak Swahili.

I have made offer for this pc spec
PC specialist
I5 processor, 16gb Ram. 256 SSD, 1 TB HDD, GTX 1660 Super GPU

From my very limited knowledge that looks like it’ll handle whatever I will need it for? I don’t have ability to build my own so I need to find one that’s local etc and within a budget

That spec pc will be fine as it’s very similar to mine what I use for TP. It plays everything I’ve thrown at it, mainly driving games.

i give up on this.
i dont know if your trying to fix the game or run an emulator.

i'm trying to get across that just because it uses a pc doesnt mean it will work with *any* pc.

I’d moved on from the original PC and used another. Which wouldn’t start a game. I started this thread asking to effectively work out why that wouldn’t fully work, I did listen when it was said some just can act odd. Since I started this it has now evolved to getting a better spec pc to install teknoparrot so I can use the cab to play more than just blazing angels. So it’s now at a point that priority is focused on trying to get a pc that will be capable which I know the current crop won’t be. I’m sorry I wasn’t trying to make this such a misunderstood mission, I didn’t even know running more games was possible with it. Now I do so it makes sense to just do that.
If there’s reason why running tekno instead of just original blazing angels is rather someone said now the negatives haha before I’m too far gone.

So anyone if this is not a good idea please express views whilst it will matter lol

the reason the buttons didnt work may have been protection recognising it was not original,

as for parrot - i suggest you look into how it will interface to your controls and such

you cant bypass it, you already said your not a pc expert.
you would need to have hacking skilz and know how to use software like IDApro

Ok you’re quite correct. Certainly don’t have those skills so I’m back on to easier just doing tekno parrot at this point
