The prices for food are stupid at all events like this but to be fair the trafford centre was 2 min walk away and the parking was free, which is almost never the case.

The queue was heavy but my Gf & I just walked around it right in front of everybody queuing & walked straight in to where you buy tickets.
Not a single person queuing said anything to us about the fact we queue jumped, I guess its all about confidence.

I really enjoyed it, but I don't really go to these things to play on cabs.
We had a lot of fun dressing up and generally playing daft bemani games lol

Great weekend
Took three pins and the Fix It Felix down for Big Phil on Friday, arrived about 2pm drove the van inside and offloaded right next to where the NERG stand was going to be
Got to play on a load of pins, cabs, retro computers/consoles over the weekend and had a chat with a good few folk...many who I didn't get names for and might be on here...oops !
Saturday was real, real busy but Sunday not so bad
The NERG crew were loaded and ready to hit the road north at 7pm on Sunday but I had my van loaded with 5 pins and the Fix It Felix cab ! Just got them all in as well as our beer fridge (empty !) and other boxes of NERG promotional stuff !
Offloaded at Big Phil's about 10pm and then I head home and was in for just before 11pm
Massive thanks to all involved with the cabs (James/Andy and all your crew...great to see my old Crazy Taxi cab perfoming faultlessly throughout the whole weekend !) and the NLP guys and donators with all the pins...and to Danny who was always running round to fix something everytime I saw him

We were told by a Replay Events employee at the start to go around the front & join a different queue if we didn't have a ticket having got there & still no clue on where we supposed to queue we just went in the doors to ask & though we may aswell just stay
Tickets were £15 on the door for the day £24 for the weekend IIRC.
I remember hearing the same thing last year that is was quicker to get in by buying at ticket on the day.

Other people saying the same thing on Facebook long queues if you had pre-paid tickets none without.

Hectic weekend, a 6 day stretch for us in total. Finally finished loading the last truck and it left at about 6:30pm last night.
Totally shattered and had to then go to see a client today so no rest for the wicked.
There were no staff/exhibitor discounts on the food/drink but with travelling around so much we just expected prices to be "event prices" - when we did London Film & Comic Con the beer and food was a bit high even for London so, like many others this year, we came prepared and had a low power mini fridge with water, pop and a few beers in for us. At one point me and Carol and nipped out to ASDA and grabbed a load of stuff from the food to go bit.
In almost all cases its not the event organisers choice of food operator, its the venue and they set the prices. Blackpool - the Norbreck set the bar prices, NERG, Gateshead stadium set the prices for the food/drink, Revival, the same.
At first I was a bit questionable about whether we should get the cab signed - would it devalue the cab as it had its artwork changed etc - you know what I mean
I'm glad we got the opportunity I just wish i'd gotten to meet Dave Prowse when he ran in to sign the cab, I was hoping for a handshake and a picture of him next to it but I think I had my head in something else at the time - likely the After Burner DLX
Apparently, according to you guys, there was a whole other show going on outside our little square in the far corner of the hall, apart from going over to see Mike Heald at the Wulverblade stand I didn't see any of it but then again, being an exhibitor you don't get that opportunity easily but I honestly wouldn't change any of it to see people enjoying themselves playing the machines.
Thank you very much to all of you who gave your time over the last week to help with various bits of the show, logistics, setup, teardown and return are the four main areas I always panic about having enough people to help with as this is the job most people want to avoid. We had a fantastic team this year which was made up of:
Fuzzy, Otto, Philv85, Anthony Graham, Shaun Holley, TonyElyod, Snap584, Lez, DanF and RidBensdale.
Back to work now for me.

Nope, didn't forget Mark at all, i'm thanking those extra bodies who gave up their holiday days and time with families etc to help out.
Mark is doing a fantastic job for us every day at the unit organising machines going out to other events, repair work, general maintenance and the worst job of all - trying to keep the place operable when we keep taking in machines or have to shuffle things between places.
For him its a 5 day job, sometimes 7 and although I bark occasionally about getting things picked up/dropped off, i'm glad someone who is enthusiastic about video games and a hard worker is with us and i'm sure he knows we appreciate everything he does.
I'm trying to make his life back at base as easy as possible at the unit by us co-ordinating things better and being more prepared. It all just takes time and money.
