Well the fact that a Trog machine was sold to an owner of 2 spacer harrier DX cabs confirms it for me that these were the machines I saw when Basil was moving to the USA
I so wish I had bought some of the others he had, I hadn't even got my games room back then, had just got the extension so had abit of space but he has some great stuff. The Space Harrier DX cabs were listed on ebay before they were bought by the owner and they had been on days and only a couple of bids at like £10 each, so he cancelled the bids and ended them both, don't blame him, they weren't in bad condition but I remember letting Nick know what they were like coz he was never that happy with his, amazingly mine was in better condition than both of them even being outside for 2 years, how things change
So who bought them all to store them?, obviously done it to sit on them and coin in the money a few years on when prices gone up, then they let this happen
I just can't believe the members of the forums never got together and bought them from the collector when he was selling them
I saw him list the 1st few cabs, there was a Carnevil and some other lesser ones, so I asked him about a paperboy, he said he had one but it's in his collection going to the USA, then he said he's got a Championship Sprint machine, got back to me after looking at it but control panel missing, well would you believe my luck, I had bid on a Paperboy with full champ sprint kit but over £600 I was outbid, then the same seller listed a psu and Champ sprint Control Panel and I won the items for about £25
There was one encoder wheel missing, but I picked up a Key games wheel with the part, then stripped that and sold the wheel on for £30 as they are proper American 70's car steering wheels
£100 cash for Champ Sprint with no switcher, but easy to sort that, control panel which in end cost nothing and a nice cab it is, better than paperboy as it's got later psu stuff. yeah I wanted Paperboy but same cab near enough and I got a nice Paperboy kit from ebay USA
Darius I won for £2 or something silly, no pcb though and ordyne won a SH DLX front section for like £40.
Luke had the Sherrif cab from him, just can't believe no one else bothered, was great to look round at all the cabs and so many classics, what was there wasn't all what he had, but some of those weren't at his place so they must of been buying up loads of them to store
Really can't remember what else he had, there was a Street Fighter Pinball which was on ebay, I saw it working and that sold for £300ish
I know some other machines got sold too, some guys turned up to buy all the fruit machine stuff while I was there the 2nd time
