It was my brothers, he hadn’t played it for a long time. We brought it home and it worked well for a couple of weeks. Now there is nothing when you turn on. The fuse i fine. I‘m looking for someone to repair pleaseAre you looking for online help/advice or for someone local who can land a hand?
Dose it play blind if you coin it up and start a game? Do you have anything at all on the screen?
I’m in Sevenoaks, will take some photosIt would be helpful if you could take some pics of the machine inside so we can see how the board is connected, i.e could be converted to a Jamma setup and what type of monitor is installed, also when you say you checked the fuse are you saying the one in the plug and also the one on the monitor chassis too?. I'm based in Essex just over the bridge to you but depends where in Kent you are.

I’m looking for someone to test and repair it, the game worked well for a few weeks before stopping , can you help ??That’s a midway galaxian pcb you have in your cab.
Overheating and static discharge - it's right next to the CRT...Have you been playing it with the PCB wrapped in bubble wrap? I'm thinking that may have caused something to go faulty due to overheating.
A DC setup?Well what makes it slightly an easier repair is the board looks to have been converted to DC set up, cant see what the power supply that the edge connector is connected to but with a Jamma adapter the board can be tested on a Jamma test rig.

Is this something you can help with ???A DC setup?
A DC setup?
Ah the old way of having the bridge and regulators on the main board. It scares me when AC is present on any board with TTL - Asteroids specifically.Galaxian: AC to DC Modification
I'm working on converting my Galaxian MAME cabinet back into an OG cabinet with an original PCB and CRT. In this cabinet, I will be using a JAMMA switcher to switch between Galaxian and Galaga. An original Galaxian board expects to receive 7 volts AC and has hardware on thewww.justin-credible.net
There are a few of us here that could help - but as Lurch mentioned, try the monitor first, does the neck glow orange, is there a high pitched sound, does the front of the screen get staticky when turned on or off? And of course, checking the voltages to the game board is essential, and easy to do. Some simple testing will give valuable information and may help us talk you through a diagnosis or even repair. Is this something you can help with ???
