New PB tonight on my MAME setup.
Stupidly, I had 7 lives left and killed the end boss without dying.

The game gets exponentially harder when you try for high scores.

I'm nearly at 12mill so I might go for that, but i don't think I've got it in me to go that much higher.

7 x 50,000(boss) + 7 x 5000(points leading up to boss - don't know the exact possible max points).

Tell you what David....what a difference those new Sanwa sticks with the octal gates have made....I honestly found that score easy.

yeah they sound good tronads, the stick in my astro has started sticking to right as well so it could be a good time for an upgrade.

I got the sticks and the octal gates from that place in Morcambe, ArcadeWorld.
They sell the octal gates on their own, or a stick/gate package.

I now have them in my Goliath, and on my Blast City, it already had Sanwa sticks in place but with the standard Gate's....playing Robotron was hopeless on it (on the 19-in-1), so I bought a couple of the octal gates for it, and now its spot on.

I agree the standard square gates are hopeless for most games. I always fit round gates to my sticks. Not tried the octal ones, though.
