Super work all round on this resto - loving the effort and great to see the progress on this lesser seen classic Sega racer

Particularly like the aluminium tape work and attention to detail on the fan label

Mark is a genius on these boards and how great to get those updates and the full rundown of parts replaced.

Who could have imagined it would look this good - this is astonishing..

Can't believe the quality of the work you've done on this especially given the state it was in when we went to collect it!

Well it certainly ended up at the right home

It's in better condition than I thought it was going to be, the cab itself that is, the work on the controller is superb mate, nice setup you have for all the resto work

Total respect for refurbishing the fan instead of buying a new one, I like to do this also, they are quality made and inspires others like myself to do the same. I even repair the speakers in my cabs instead of replacing like in Outrun DLX and Turbo Outrun Sub

Proper dedicated Resto and great to see

Glad there was a decal sorted for the controller. I have a complete controller unit that I was thinking of using on my motorbike machine so I can play this game and others with proper turning handlebars and for the race games I can lean the bike too, will have to see what bolts my bars held with, glad you got them out though

Superb bud, well impressed

Thank guys, the comments really keep me going.
Here is the next update. I finally got hold of a S10 and the red push button,
the spring and the screws to mount the S10. oddly i didn’t get or i missed the notifications
to the recent comments and i have only just seen them now with that mech link.
I pestered the chap at swallow amusements for it all, pricy but they must be
rare, i really thought i would be swamped with offers when i mentioned on here
i needed one.

The coin door is now complete and lightly
attached to the machine, I still have to strip everything off again to a bare
shell to paint the black and start a light restoration on the cab its self,
mainly T moulding and touch up, its really in good shape already.

Lovely mate, looking awesome. Thats good to see it has otiginal sega doors. Lucky they not been replaced as the others are bigger and dont fit.

If you look at the frame, the corners have extra bits making them square instead of the standard rounded ones, most get upgraded to multi-mechs as its better for the ops in arcade but ive chnaged mine back to these like they would be from Sega

Its great for us all to see these classic machines brought back to life
