I'm not a fan of driving cabs but I do like the ID cabs I have to admit, no plans to get one soon but do have the real deal;

Great news man! It's always a relief to see something on screen and no error 24/25 (GD-ROM not found)..

Looks like you're still not gonna get a game anytime soon though

I had another blast on this tonight, I can really see the hook of the game now, just need a card reader so I can get right into it(and some hours of course

I have listened to this hundreds of times

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gah8FnYSypk

My mate downloaded it years ago, way before I even knew what Initial D was. Was going through mixes folder one night and found this, put it on and then again, then next night again and couldn't stop playing it

Thats what started me off on Initial D and when I saw the machine in arcade, I had a go even if it was just to hear the music, but liked the game too, but not the bit where you win and still have to pay more money, got off it at that point

No worries when you have the machine at home though

the changer shaft circlip was inside the unit, along with a bolt that didnt attach to anything i could see. there was a spring inside the shifter that wasnt attached at either end.

I had a google and read the spring attaches to a 'plastic nub' which i couldnt see, one post on byoac forum referred to an exploded diagram on the happ website but i couldnt find that either

.

the bits are wrapped in a paper towel and pout in the coinbox (well you did say you'd forget)

I got the feeling something was missing but it may well be I just couldn't figure it out.

Happy you finally got a go... love is in danger has got to be one of hte biggest earworms in game music. I kinda love it and hate it in equal measure, I will certainly never forget it.

+1 on the J-POP soundtrack, really fits the game and the anime

Haven't played it for a while on Demul ,might have to fire it up again for a few games (pity it crashes after race 3 and of course no card reader to save progress to)

If only the recent batch of ID machines had been at the start of year when I'd just had my redundancy money, would have most likely bought one for sure (and then tried to figure out where to put it afterwards!)

All I need is a working gear shifter and a card reader then that's me fully operational:

Nice one mate!
Looks like you got a right bargain there.
Was there any need to twiddle with the monitor settings?

It looks like I'm the only person remaining to test their cab now.
9 long days to go until Simon drops off the parts I need.

>Steering pot.
I did give it a couple of days before swiping it, sounds like you didn't need it tho!

Cheers.
