Thanks for filming that Mart! That was a pretty awesome moment for me and my bro - reliving a moment in our youth that has special memories for us both.

Notice how he never apologised to me about being wrong in our "argument" that started this

I went yesterday and it was great. Very busy all day but some real classics to play on. My back is really aching from standing up so long now! Thanks to all those who donated cabs - I deffo will next time if I can get transport sorted.

1942 or Galaxian cabaret cabs, let me know

Glad you had a good time, some great games there!

Sorry to say, but no such thing as a Galaxian cabaret incidentally. Technically, no such thing as a 1942 cabaret either...

I've never seen one. But ...

Slam looks like an awesome event. Will try to make it next year. Bit tricky this year as Replay in a fortnight.

I was only able to go for a few hours this morning, but both me and the mrs really enjoyed it.
I did briefly see Alpha1, Rav and RGP running around fixing stuff, I hope they got a moment to relax a bit and enjoy the event!

Well I actually made this, my friend told me he couldn't go that far so we had to make do with a day in Southend, then we ended up in Worthing :)

I didn't really get to speak to many forum members (tbh I wasn't sure who anyone was) but I did get to see Jeff Minter which blew me away. Seeing the guy play his latest game on a Vita just chilling in the bar area was a surreal thing. Was going to see if he would sign my phone (I didn't have my Atari ST to hand) but he had gone home by then. Ah well!

Great day, will be there next year with bells on, probably with cabs on hand and offering help if I can.

Thanks to all involved!

Alex: A very kind offer mate, would love to see it one day!

Shame I wasn't around when you were Joel, would've been nice to say hello again.

btw, i've heard no news of the raffle? Been waiting for a text/call all night saying how i'd won the pinball machine, but nothing, no idea what's going on there?

I did get slightly moaned at for the amount of tickets I bought though (from the mrs). The nice girl at the table really struggled tearing that amount of layers from the book in one go. All for a good cause though!
