Just switched one of my cabs on yesterday, it's not been on for 6/8 years and came on working perfect, even all the monitors still perfect, that's in my separate games building which hasn't been heated since it was built, just kept dry with solar dehumidifier, best thing I bought to keep these machines safe from damp
The car prices will just keep going up I think, they always seem to, owners kids grow up with them and there child hood is remembered being in them so they get the bug too, mate a school, his dad had old cars, Triumph Herald was his favourite so both his sons at school with me bought one too so they all had them, the older cars don't drop in price either when that generation are gone, there always seems to be people that want them
I've grown up with fords, my dad had them all his life, all Cortina's from mk2 to mk5, Escort, few Sierra, brother has had most of the High Performance Fords but to me the most reliable stuff was made in Japan, all my Hi-Fi equipment is late 70's early 80's Technics, 90% of it still working perfect so to me the cars you want from same era are Japanese, you won't be breaking down or having trouble starting them, then again I've never really followed the crowd, I go my own way with music and most things, not interested in old Fords even though my childhood memories are full of them, give me a Honda any day
Gaming is one of the most popular things now, more money in it than film industry which is pretty amazing, it all depends on how much the younger generation get hooked on it, if you start looking into video game history to see how it all started then Arcade Machines are the first thing, depends if they want to go back though or just want to look forward
Even half the games for us don't mean much if you didn't play them when they were in the arcades, the older B/W stuff, how many of us are interested in buying those, bet not many which is why they don't sell for much, though when you get a chance to play some on original machines they make much more sense than in mame and like when we played Boot Hill, I really enjoyed playing it with 2 player, the back drops make the game so much more
