What's your coin op game of the week?

Yie Ar Kung Fu.
This will be the week when I FINALLY kick the crap out of Blues!!! I'm eating everyone for breakfast in that game now but Tonfun usually kicks my arse so I've only ever fought Blues three times in my life.
Two of those times were this week. Blues' days are numbered my son.

Samurai Shodown 3. I'm terrible at it! Desperately trying to get better.

My son (bless him he's only 17, hasn't got a scooby on what games are on the Game Elf) just loads up random games. He hits a surprising amount of gold doing this.
I'd never played The Punisher before my boy loaded it up once. Years wasted! That's THE most FUN side-scrolling beat 'em up I've got by far! It smokes Double Dragon, Final Fight, Golden Axe, Turtles et al... well, it does in my house lol.
Anyway, that's isn't my coin-op game of the week. My game of the week was discovered in the same way that we discovered The Punisher. My coin-op game of the week is: Megatack!
Ugly? Yeah, I'll give you that. Not the quaintest soundtrack? Yeah, you can have that too. Game not fun? Nope, the game is immense fun!
A game designer probably once said "Just have some extra bullets shoot diagonally" and that man was a great man indeed.
This game is good on MAME too. Oh, and it does have an odd interface for entering your initials. If nothing else, it's at least somewhat unique!

Undercover Cops. Been playing a bit with my brother in 2 player, love the terminator style boss with complete with crusher.

I haven't played this much since I played it at my young gaming heaven (Pontins holiday camps 76-83), and then after on my Dragon32. What a great game it is.
I can't help playing R-Type as well...what is it about that game! So many right shootie spaceship games - the original R-Type just, well...rocks!

Out Zone by Toaplan. Took a while to get used to the way it plays but it clicked and I'm having a blast.
